General & Family Dentistry

Our general dental office emphasizes prevention rather than cure. We strive to keep smiles healthy from the start through professional hygiene, tips for at-home care, and thorough dental diagnosis. By optimizing your current oral health, we can reduce your risk of experiencing dental issues in the future. Dr. Scott’s far-reaching expertise encompasses a wide range of general dentistry procedures, including children’s dentistry, gum disease treatment,  TMJ therapy, root canals, snoring treatment, and athletic mouthguards.

Common dental conditions, including tooth decay and gum disease, can be easily prevented with regular dental visits. Dr. Scott and our team use advanced technology and gentle methods to detect problems in their earliest stages. Our intraoral video camera takes live images and displays them, magnified, so Dr. Scott can show you what's happening in your mouth. With digital X-rays, we can find hairline fractures and small areas of decay not visible to the naked eye. Then, we use conservative therapies, such as metal-free resin fillings, to repair the damage and optimize your oral health.

As your general dentist, Dr. Scott will explain the details of his findings and recommend treatments to prevent the problem from recurring. He may suggest fluoride supplements to strengthen tooth enamel or a custom nightguard – made in our office – to counter the harmful effects of teeth grinding. Dr. Scott will tailor a plan to your unique needs and ensure your entire family can enjoy a lifetime of healthy smiles.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

We use composite, tooth-colored fillings at our practice. These fillings contain no mercury or metal and they're shaded to match your existing tooth structure. With tooth-colored fillings, we can remove less tooth structure than with metal fillings, which results in more conservative treatments for our patients.
